DAVID KAPLAN (b. 1923) is a Professor of Music at the University of Saskatchewan. Besides his composing and teaching activities, he is also a performer and conductor, having been the principal conductor of the Saskatoon Symphony, 1962-1972. His compositions run the full gamut of musical genres, with the exception of opera and electroacoustic music.
