Eugene Weigel |
EUGENE WEIGEL (b. Oct. 11, 1910) studied composition with Paul Hindemith at Yale University. He was a founding member of the Walden String Quartert, Artists in Residence at Cornell University, who were commissioned to give the world premiere of Schoemberg's String Trio. His works are written primarily for large and chamber ensembles, including a Requiem Mass for which he received a Guggenheim Fellowship.
