Peter Landey
 Biography

PETER LANDEY (1951-) received his Ph.D. From the University of London, and his D.Phil. from the University of York. He won first prize in the Villa-Lobos competition from the Guildhall School of Music, London. He has received commissions from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council, and recently had his translation of Anton Reicha's Traité de melodie published by Pendragon Press. Peter Landey's list of works includes music for orchestra, chorus, organ, chamber ensemble, concerti, and several ballets. Performances of his music have taken place in Japan and throughout Ontario. 2001
