Jack Behrens
 Biography

Jack Behrens (b. Lancaster, Pa. 1935), composer, pianist, professor and administrator, is a graduate of the Juilliard School and Harvard University where he studied composition with, among others, Vincent Persichetti, Roger Sessions and Leon Kirchner. Dr. Behrens has been a faculty member at the University of Regina, Simon Fraser University and the University of Western Ontario, where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Music (1980-86). Along with teaching and performing he is the Artistic Director of London, Ontario's "Trillium Plus" which presents programs featuring Canadian authors, visual artists and musicians. His compositions are recorded on the Opus One, Orion, and McGill labels.
