Michelle Boudreau is a composer and speaker, as well as the founder and artistic director of Musiques Itinérantes MI ltée.
In composition, her research concerns structure, matter, gesture, theatrical and visual integration. She has composed many pieces for different musical groups and music theatre.
Her work has been performed in Canada, in the United States and in Europe by various festivals, societies and ensembles such as Arraymusic, Société de musique contemporaine du Québec, Ensemble Modern, during the Festival Audio Art Warszawa-Wroclaw in Poland, during the NWEAMO festival in Oregon and California, and during The World Music Days in Luxembourg and Romania.
Since spring 1999, she exhibits her art work in solo and with others.
She considers electroacoustic means, musical traditions of the world, culture and society in general, a must for musical language. Opera, music theatre, orchestral and chamber music, video, drawing, painting, photography, writing are her interest, and there are many others.
