Aventa Ensemble
Music of the Aurora Borealis is a luminescent program featuring a repertoire from Canadian, Danish and Norwegian composers. Canadian music includes works from Paul Frehner, Michael Oesterle and Rodney Sharman. Aventa has devoted much of the past several years to Scandinavian compositions. This performance will include works from Norway's Rolf Wallin and Danish composers Anders Nordentoft and Poul Ruders. Anders Nordentof's Turmalin receives its world premiere and Wallin ’s Appearances its New York premiere.
