The Canadian Music Centre rents out the parts of unpublished orchestral and band works to professional and amateur groups.

ORCHESTRA RENTAL RATES
All orchestral and band rental rates are based on a per-minute, per-performance basis with three rate categories:
1) Professional
2) Semi-professional
3) Amateur
Discounts are also available for additional performances of an Associate Composer's work:
1) 25% off 2nd performance of rented work
2) 50% off 3rd performance and for each additional performance of rented work
CHAMBER MUSIC RATES
For chamber music works with 5 parts or less, the score and parts can be borrowed from the CMC Library. All other Chamber Music works with 6 parts or more are available for sale from the Music Services Department..
Orchestral Read-through Rates
If a group wishes to read through an orchestral work, a deposit of $50 CDN will be taken against the eventual rental or sales cost. Read-through fees for large orchestral works are non-refundable.
To get a Quote for Rental Fee
After searching and selecting the orchestral work from the CMC database, please fill out the Request Items Form and include the following information in the "Add Notes to Your Request" section:
- Name of the performing group
- Name of the conductor
- Number of instruments
- Concert date(s) and Number of performances
