Congratulations to Associate composer Jérôme Blais for winning first prize in the Concours du Prix collégien de musique contemporaine 2015!

This award, presented in conjunction with CMC Québec and le Cégep de Sherbrooke, is awarded annually to 3 Québec based composers. CMC Associate Composers Martin Bédard and Gabriel Dharmoo took 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. Other finalists include Cléo Palacio-Quintin and Julien-Robert Legault Salvail.

We are very proud of our composers for continuing their great work in Canada's musical community. Congratulations!

The work for which Jérôme won the prize is (Un)Forgotten Voices, which is featured on the album "Live Wired" by NBG Ensemble and the Acadia New Music Society. The CD is offered through CMC's distribution services here: http://www.musiccentre.ca/node/130595.
