The Canadian Music Centre BC Region presents a Round Table panel discussion with composers Dorothy Chang, Aaron Gervais and John Oliver, moderated by CMC BC Director Sean Bickerton.

The panel will focus on new works composed for the upcoming SUPERIMPOSITION concerts, presented jointly by Turning Point Ensemble, Nu:BC Collective and the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on April 29th and 30th.

Dorothy Chang's new work for Nu:BC Collective, Bagatelles, will receive its premiere performance at these concerts, as will Aaron Gervais' Break Up Make Up, featuring Nu:BC Collective as soloists with Turning Point Ensemble led by Owen Underhill. The latter work was commissioned by the Chan Centre.

John Oliver's new saxophone concerto Cool Cut will also receive its premiere performance with soloist Julia Nolan and Turning Point Ensemble.

The program includes works by Ana Sokolovic (Portrait Parle in a new arrangement for Nu:BC Collective) and Heitor Villa-Lobos (Choros no.7).
