ORIANA presents two major works for women’s voices, from the twentieth and eighteenth centuries. Veljo Tormis is a world-renowned Estonian composer who draws on local folk songs as inspiration for his many choral works. Looduspildid has four movements, each containing several lyrical miniatures. The second half of the concert comprises the well-loved work, Stabat Mater, by Giovanni Pergolesi, showcasing ORIANA’s classical ensemble singing.
