Gerardo Molina is a Mexican Pianist and Computer Scientist, graduated from the Computer Systems Engineering Bachelor Program in the University of the Americas, Puebla in 1994. Across the time, working as computer manager in an outstanding software company, he studied in the Bachelor of Music program of the University of the Americas, Puebla completing three years from 2000-2 and 2015-16. For the 2017 Fall Gerardo Molina moved to St Catharines, Ontario to complete the fourth year in the Bachelor of Music program at Brock University where he got full assessment from his previous studies. Gerardo Molina started piano lessons with his father at the age of six and continued his formal pianistic education in a span of twenty years with acknowledged Mexican artists such as Yolanda Castro, Ana Maria Tradatti, Gustavo Rivero, Daniel Rodriguez and Oscar Tarragó. Moreover, Gerardo Molina participated in several piano Master classes with international recognized pianists such as Bernard Flavigny, Jorge Federico Osorio, and Faritza Tchivirova, between others.

The career of Gerardo Molina as piano performer encompasses international competitions and performances in France, U.S.A., Germany, Poland, Russia, Mexico and Canada. Regarding to piano competitions, Gerardo Molina won third prize in the National Competition of the Veracruz University; he was semi-finalist of the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, OH (1999); third place in the Washington DC A.M.S.A. (American Music Scholarship Association) International Piano Competition (2005); second place in the Boston International Piano Competition Pine Manor (2005); and first place in the International Piano Competition of Paris in the Sorbone (2003). Moreover, Gerardo Molina has developed an important concert performing career for more than fifteen years, with memorable concerts, e.g. Grand Prix Winners Concert, Austria Embassy in Washington DC (2004); Invalides Concert Hall, Paris, France (2006); Music Instruments Museum Concert Hall, Berlin, Germany (2005); Radio France live broadcasting, Paris, France (2008); Regional Conservatory of Nize, France (2009); Asian-Pacific International Arts Festival, Krasnoyarks, Russia (2015); Poland Concert Tour performing in Warsaw, Poniatova, Lublin, and Zakopane (2016); and Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls Public Libraries, Canada (2017). In 2013, Gerardo Molina recorded a piano recital for the Mexican TV cultural series “Camerata 22”.

Gerardo Molina has performed as soloist of Mexican orchestras, e.g. Michoacan Symphonic Orchestra, Coyoacan Symphonic Orchestra, Zapopan Youth Symphony Orchestra, Normalista Symphonic Orchestra, and Puebla State Symphonic Orchestra, with which in 2013 performed a concert tour in important stages of Mexico inside the International Cervantino Festival for the Arts. In 2004, Gerardo Molina was soloist of the Symphonic of the Republican Guard in Paris, France, performing twice in the Invalides Church.
