Over the past 25 years, the Central Bucks High School-West Choir from Doylestown, Pennsylvania (USA) and visionary conductor Dr. Joseph Ohrt have presented close to 450 world premieres of works by composers from around the globe.

On April 14, 2018 they will be hosting a Canadian Composer's Summit in Toronto featuring premieres of fifteen young Toronto composers as well as several premieres by other North American Composers. Featured composers, all of whom will be in residence that day, include: Shane Beck, Joshua Denenberg, Sophie Dupuis, Matthew Emery, Joseph Glaser, Evan Hammell, Julia Jacklein, Hanna Kim, Colin McMahon, August Murphy-King, Saman Shahi, Roydon Tse, Tyler Versluis, Xington Wang, and Steven Webb.

Additional premieres by Rollo Dilworth, Connor Koppin, Rupert Lang, Joseph Ohrt, and others.

Composers will discuss their approach to writing for choir, thematic material and selecting text, and the rehearsal and workshopping process.

*The Canadian Music Centre is an accessible venue through a street level entrance to the right of the main entrance. The CMC has gender neutral washrooms.
