Description:

Luminous Voices, Calgary's professional chamber choir begins its 8th season with Malcolm Forsyth’s wonderfully colourful work "Hesperides" as part of a Forsyth symposium taking place that weekend. Written for a mixed choir and two harps, "Hesperides" set to suggestive poetry on the universal topic of love.

Luminous Voices is joined by Calgary harpists Gianetta Baril and Scott Ross-Molyneux in the programme featuring music by Swedish composer Sven-David Sandström, Fauré, Holst, Swiss composer Antognini as well as Canadian Leonard Enns. The concert also premieres a new work by Ross-Molyneaux for choir and harp.
