New commissions are also an important part of The Winnipeg Singers' mandate. Some of the composers commissioned over the years include Chester Duncan, Leonard Enns, John Greer, Holly Harris, Michael Matthews, and Sid Robinovitch. The Winnipeg Singers have twice received the Canada Council's Healey Willan Award for Choral Excellence and continue to be recognized as one of Canada's finest chamber choirs.
