Programme Note:
This work is in three movements that could be played independently, but preferably all together as one composition. Each one of the three movements focuses on specific performance elements, such, exploring new technique, finding comfort in familiar grounds, and exploring new combinations of the two. It was commissioned by the Canadian Music Centre through the Norman Burgess Memorial Fund as part of the New Music for Young Musicians Project.
