Raymond Pannell

RAYMOND PANNELL (b. 1935) studied at the Julliard School of Music in New York. In 1962 he represented Canada as a pianist in the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. In 1967 the Canadian Opera Company commissioned and produced his opera The Luck of Ginger Coffey. In 1968 he was appointed assistant musical director and resident composer of the Atlanta Municipal Theatre Company.
