Biography:

Cathleen Gingrich, mezzo soprano, began her musical studies at Concordia University in Montreal. She holds both a B.F.A. and a Diploma in Musical Performance from Concordia. She recently completed her Masters in Music at the University of British Columbia. Cathleen has had the opportunity to study with Jocelyn Fleury, Winston Purdy, Valerie Kinslow and Roelof Oostwoud. Cathleen’s past roles include Jezibaba (Rusalka, European Music Acadamy: Czech Republic), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni, UBC Opera Ensemble), Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte, UBC Opera Ensemble) and Sesto (Giulio Cesare, Halifax Summer Opera Workshop). Cathleen has also been involved in several premiere performances of works by John Plant and Roddy Ellias.

Cathleen is also the former Administrator for the CMC BC Region.
