Jon Washburn, conductor

The six-century choral repertoire is vast – surely the greatest in all of music, and conductor Jon Washburn always finds a wide range of choral favourites and discoveries when planning the program for the annual Canadian tour. This program – called "A Cappella Panorama" – includes Mozart, Schubert, Palestrina, Rutter, the two Stephens (Chatman and Foster) and much more. It is a veritable treasure-house of delights for choral aficionados, delivered with grace, panache and humour by the professional singers of Canada s finest chamber choir, joined for several pieces by their associate ensemble, Pacifica Singers.
