Looking Forward to Festival 500

July 4, 2013

Festival 500 is one of Canada’s foremost choral music festivals, running from July 3rd to 10th in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Check here for CBC coverage.

I am looking forward to attending the Conductors’ Symposium, and presenting CMC’s new choral scores, available through our publishing services.

Lyrica Chamber Choir, Director Steve Winfield (http://www.lyricachoir.ca/about.html) were the first to purchase our new scores for their ‘New Canadian Choral Gems’ concert this May. Elmer Iseler Singers and Elora Festival Singers also performed using our new scores at SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival: ‘A Mari Usque Ad Mare’ (the Canadian motto ‘From Sea to Sea’) is a 13-piece song-cycle composed by Associate Composer Aaron Jensen.

So, Festival 500, and St. John’s, here I come! Meanwhile, here is a playlist of music to get you in the choral mood. Listen Here
