"...Into this incredible stew, NACO completed its very first concert inside the boundaries of mainland China. The orchestra has played in Hong Kong on a previous tour.

This Tuesday night featured the exciting and vigorous music of Canadian composer John Estacio. His Brio: Toccata and Fantasy for Orchestra opened the concert in the 15-year-old Xinghai Concert Hall.

Once again Pinchas Zukerman was front and centre, both conducting and playing solo violin in Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. If Estacio’s Brio was bravura, this performance was simply masterful, emotional and captivating. Zukerman showed such a sure grasp throughout that his performance appeared almost effortless..."
