"Breaking the deafening silence regarding possible Canadian 150th birthday projects for 2017, the Toronto-based Canadian Art Song Project announced a new commission this morning.

The Project’s founding members — tenor Lawence Wiliford and pianist Steven Philcox — have asked Montreal-based composer Ana Sokolovic to write a new song cycle for a quartet of singers from the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studii.
