"Stephen Chatman, well familiar with the milieu, and his writing partner Tara Wohlberg exaggerate the dynamic hysterically in this one-act opera, premiered and recorded at the University of British Columbia. Oscillations exists in situ between the ghosts and spirits of place-past with those who are in present time. It is at a designated urban natural place, through the concept of the oscillation between the electronic and natural worlds, that the very essence of locale forms layers of “disruptions” that will emerge diversely, and sometimes ‘magically’, over time.

I am not the main character nor do I have a heavy load of singing, but I'm so proud to be part of the production and to be premiering a work a believe in. I am playing the Nurse, an IODE (Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire) lady and a society lady/spirit.

The music is memorized and coached. The costume is fitted and thanks to three different workshops last year we have an understanding of what the directors vision is. Now I get to wait...
