38th Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition (Strings)

The Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition is an annual event focusing on the exceptional performance of contemporary music by Canada’s top emerging artists. Created as a tribute to composer and pianist/violinist S. C. Eckhardt-Gramatté, the competition highlights Canadian music. Held annually at the Brandon University School of Music on the first weekend of May, alternating between Strings (2015), Piano (2016), and Voice (2017).

This year’s E-Gré Competition is open to violinists, violists, and cellists born after January 1, 1985 and before January 1, 1997. Semi-final and final rounds will take place May 1 to 3, 2015 at Brandon University’s School of Music in Brandon, Manitoba.

Applications will be accepted until November 15, 2014.
