Culture by the Minute: Snapshot of Abigail Richardson


"Here's this month's Culture by the Minute on For The Record, with host Stephanie Seagram and her guests Annalisa Pedersen (HPO) and Gary Santucci (The Pearl Company) and a Snapshot with Abigail Richardson-Schulte (Chamber Music Hamilton). They're all talking "music" in Hamilton."

In this video, composer Abigail Richardson discusses upcoming, (Summer 2012), events with Chamber Music Hamilton, including a performance of her music by the Gryphon Trio, Dalewood Choir and the Schulte Strings. She also announces her new position as the composer-in-residence with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. During this appointment she plans to write a piece inspired by local visual artists. Lastly, she discusses her commission by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra of music for The Hockey Sweater by Roch Carrier. The video also includes a brief performance of music from The Hockey Sweater by Richardson and her husband MIchael Schulte.
