Partner Events with Soundstreams at the CMC:
Soundstreams Emerging Composer Workshops

The CMC is pleased to be co-presenting, along with with Soundstreams, three intensive workshops for emerging composers, between Friday, March 28 and Sunday, April 6.

We would like to congratulate the six composers who are involved: Nick Storring, Frederic LeBel, Jason Doell, Alec Hall, Andre Mestre, and Shuying Li.

The following events are open to the public, are free, and will all take place in our performance space at the CMC.

Composer Presentations

Get to know the six composers participating in the Soundstreams workshops! Each composer will provide a survey of their works, and there will be an opportunity for discussion.

Ye Xiaogang Composition Seminar

The resident composer for the workshop is Ye Xiaogang who is visiting from Beijing. He will discuss his approach to composition, and his artistic outlook.

Sunday, April 6 | 3:00 PM
Cecilia String Quartet Concert

The Emerging Composer Workshop resident ensemble, the Cecilia String Quartet, will premiere six pieces that were developed as part of the workshop. The concert will be followed by a short reception.
